Las Fallas in Denia is a vibrant Spanish festival celebrating the arrival of spring. This smaller version of Valencia’s famous celebration features impressive “fallas” (large artistic monuments) displayed throughout the town for several days. The festivities include parades, fireworks displays called “mascletàs,” traditional music, and colorful processions. Local residents dress in traditional costumes, and the event culminates with “La Cremà” – the spectacular burning of the fallas on the final night, symbolizing renewal and rebirth.
